Solve real world problems that span various domains within our business such as: Search optimization, NLP, Computer Vision, Sales forecasting, Hypothesis testing.In this role you will get to:Develop, productionize and maintain machine learning models on large, noisy datasets to solve business problems.Work with big, noisy and novel datasets.Research and design your own solutionsEvaluate and improve existing machine learning modelsWork alongside data scientists and developers to integrate machine learning solutions into production platformsUnderstand business requirements from non-technical team membersPresent technical solutions to non-technical team membersTechnologies used:Python, Tensorflow, Keras, Spark, Numpy, Pandas, Spacy and many other tools and librariesWe train our models using Google's Vertex AIWe process large quantities of data streamed from many different applications to test and build our modelsWe leverage VertexAI Platform to assist in labeling tasksWho you are:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Machine Learning / AI, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, etc.3+ years of experience with demonstrated technical skills in one or more of the following areas: NLP, Classification, Statistical Modelling, Deep Learning and Forecasting.Experience in implementing artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions in Python and PyTorch, scikit-learn.Professional experience developing machine learning modelsExperience working with Spark/Pyspark on large and noisy datasets and the steps it takes normalize and cleanse themExperience evaluating and improving existing machine learning modelsEagerness to learn new techniques, technologies, solve problems and contribute in a team environmentExperience with Tensorflow, Keras, Pandas, Numpy and FlaskExperience with data engineering and ETL pipelines using Airflow, Spark, Kafka, or similar.Hands-on with feature store design, embedding models, or learning-to-rank techniques (e.g., XGBoost, LightGBM, deep LTR)Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability and Trust.The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life. Unquestionable integrity and ethics is essential.Nice-to-HavesExperience in search or recommendation systems within e-commerce or travel domains.Familiarity with LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for search/chat use cases.Experience with solrSearch, Vector Search, LangChain, or Vertex AI.Exposure to real-time inference and streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, Flink).
