At AMT, you will work on some of the most innovative programs and products that address emerging markets, including optical and RF communication, datacenter connectivity, quantum computing, automotive sensing systems, medical devices and diagnostics and test & measurement systems, to name a few. p>

Job Purpose:

The Microelectronics/Optical Process Engineer, as part of the larger product solutions development team, provides process engineering solutions in support of product development, NPI, and manufacturing of a variety of different optical and microelectronic product families.

We are looking for an experienced Optical Active and Passive Alignment Process engineer, to work within a worldwide end-to-end product development team, to successfully develop and implement in manufacturing advanced Opto/microelectronic components, modules and sub-systems.

  1. Work directly with optical and microelectronic product design and development team to provide process engineering solutions in support of new product development, with subsequent NPI and manufacturing support.
  2. Manages projects and timelines in order to meet milestones and deliverables of various customer projects.
  3. Develops epoxy dispensing, semiconductor die and microelectronic components bonding and interconnection (wirebond for example), flip chip assembly, under fill, packaging encapsulation, etc.
  4. Troubleshoots and analyzes process performance problems.
  5. Provides technical guidance to less experienced team members.
  6. Conducts research into complex engineering problems to develop new operating policies, capabilities, and processes.
  7. Assists the Process Engineering team to deliver on accountabilities.
  8. Takes ownership for processes under his/her control.
