November14, 2025 November28, 2025 The opportunity: Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, the Director of Marketing & Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating FACE’s national marketing, branding, and communications strategy. This position ensures the organization’s message is clear, consistent, and compelling across all channels enhancing visibility, building trust with stakeholders, and driving engagement with entrepreneurs, funders, and partners. The Director serves as the guardian of FACE’s public image, overseeing brand management, media relations, digital engagement, impact storytelling and internal communications. The role is central to positioning FACE as a national leader in inclusive, equitable economic development. OverviewofResponsibilities: Strategic Leadership Develop and execute the five-year Marketing & Communications Strategy in alignment with organizational goals and Board direction. Advise the C‑Suite on branding, public positioning, and reputation management. Lead the development of annual marketing plans, KPIs, and budgets. Ensure all communications uphold FACE’s mission, values, and DEI commitments. Brand, Marketing, and Digital Strategy Monitor analytics, SEO, and audience insights to optimize campaigns and ROI. Direct management of website, CRM, social media platforms, newsletters, and advertising campaigns. Superviseproductionofmarketingmaterials,videos,andimpactstories. Communications and Media Relations Serveasofficialspokespersonordesignateapprovedspokespersonsformediaengagements. Developproactivemediastrategies,pressreleases,andcrisis-communicationprotocols. Managerelationshipswithjournalists,influencers,andsectornetworks. Overseecontentdevelopmentforreports,speeches,andofficialstatements. Ensuremediasensitivity,compliancewithfunderguidelines,andreputationsafeguards. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement Collaboratewithfunders,governmentpartners,andcommunityorganizationsonjointcommunicationsinitiatives. SupportpartnershipcampaignsandsponsorshipsthatadvanceFACE’simpactand visibility. Buildthought‑leadershippresencethroughconferences,publications,andadvocacyforums. Internal Communications Strengtheninternalalignmentthroughstaffbriefings,newsletters,andintranetcontent. Ensureconsistentmessagedeliveryand brandtoneacrossalldepartments. Providemediatrainingandkeymessagebriefingstoseniorleaders. EstablishmeasurableKPIs(reach,engagement,CPL,SROI,sentiment)andreportquarterlyto the C‑Suite. Overseebrandriskregister, mediaincidentlogs,andcommunicationsaudittrails. Propose and review with supporting rationale bbudgets and resource allocation. Strengthen FACE’s brand identity, ensuring alignment with bilingual (English/French) standards and accessibility (AODA). Oversee all marketing initiatives including digital, print, events, and public campaigns. Qualifications: BSc in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. 7-10yearsofprogressivemarketingandcommunicationsleadershipexperience. Demonstratedexpertiseinbrandstrategy,mediarelations,anddigitalmarketing. Provenexperiencemanaginghigh-performingteams andagencies. Exceptionalwriting,storytelling,andpublic-speakingskills. StrategicThinking:Alignscommunicationswithlong-termorganizationalobjectives. Leadership:Inspires,mentors,andmanagesmultidisciplinaryteams.
