You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects across the country while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior client experience.This position is available at our London or Kitchener offices. We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.ResponsibilitiesWhat your day will look likeProject Coordination and DesignPreliminary design detailed design and expertise in the assessment of pumping systems and treatment processes for water and wastewater treatment systems water supply and wastewater collection infrastructure.Supporting project managers with the coordination of design team activities direction to project team members including engineers and technical support staff and ongoing support to regional account leads.Project coordination initially of small sized infrastructure projects leading to larger assignments following demonstrated proficiency.Coordinate with public and private sector clients government review and approval agencies sub-consultants and subcontractors.Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation municipal structural electrical and mechanical engineers planners environmental scientists and technical support staff).Perform assessments design calculations hydraulic reviews data collection and data analysis to support engineering activitiesParticipate in the creation of contract drawings contract specifications and tender packagesLiaise with equipment suppliers and vendors for equipment selectionField work including construction observation water quality sampling and infrastructure condition assessments.Learning and DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning andprofessionaldevelopmentContribute to Dillons corporate profile through active participation inprofessionalassociations and committeesQualificationsWhat you will need to succeedA degree in biosystems civil mechanical or chemical engineeringRegistered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or eligible to be licensed within 6 months and willingness to obtain professional registrations in other provinces / territories as required1-2 years of relevant work experience in the consulting industry preferredExperienceExperience and knowledge of water and wastewater treatment equipment / facilities pumping stations and community infrastructureKnowledge of the functional and detailed design of integrated municipal infrastructure including roads sewers and watermainsUnderstand a range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports contract document preparation tendering and contract administrationWorking knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit software will be considered an assetKnowledge of relevant municipal / provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirementsRelated experience in range of design activities including preparation of functional and detailed design drawings and reports contract document preparation tendering construction administration and commissioning is preferredAbility to work in multidisciplinary team client and industry relationships and regulatory agency consultationWorking knowledge of emerging technologies for water and wastewater treatmentDemonstrated abilities in multidisciplinary project teamwork and coordinationProficient in project proposal preparation and presentationsAn intense motivation for personal and professional growthThe ambition to be part of a growing enterprise focused on technical excellence and superior client serviceExcellent organizational problem solving and interpersonal skillsA deep desire to help and guide our clients on their path to successExcellent communication skills and the ability to network in professional settingsPossess self-awareness and act responsibly on job sitesAbility to adapt to a fast paced manufacturing environmentWhy choose DillonWe live our core values :Reliability : words that result in actions build trust;Achievement : do the work to hit the target;Continuous development : always learning; always adapting; always growing;Creativity : discover new possibilities;Courage : do the things that matter especially when its hard; andInclusiveness : enabling belonging to draw strength from our differences.Dillon is a certified Great Place to Work .
