OverviewJob Title : Senior Network Admin AnalystLocation : Etobicoke, ON (MV Y)Duration : months contractNOTE : Some days may be needed at Union Station in Toronto.ResponsibilitiesProvides specialized expert level support in the role of subject matter expert to the network components of the VIA Rail technology environment including LAN, WAN and WiFi capabilities.Participates and leads in the implementation and design of new networking infrastructure and capabilities with our integrators and partners.Provides networking support to other technology implementation projects and supports other less senior resources.Drive partners and integrators to deliver resultsProvides tier III monitoring and support services to the VIA Rail networking infrastructureDesign and plan network infrastructure componentsProvide technical mentorship to more junior resourcesTroubleshoots complex networking issuesSupports and leads network design and configuration activitiesProvides quality assurance to work performed by other resourcesPlans patches and configuration updates to network and security infrastructure componentsProvides networking support to infrastructure projectsMonitors and analyzes bandwidth utilization on an ongoing basisAvailable for on call rotationPersonal qualitiesTeam-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.Keen attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesActs with integrity.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed.Ability to see the big picture but also go into detail when needed.Ability to educate, communicate and influence across a wide range of levels of the organization and simplify complex technical topics.Persistent in pursuit of positive transformations.Creativity and innovation skills.Focused on results.Structured and organizedFlexible and quick to adapt to changeStrong leader and motivatorStrong communicator - comfortable interacting with management levels from across the organization both in information exchange as well as influence and negotiation.Essential skills and experiencesExperience deploying, managing SDWAN solution, WAN, LAN, WiFiCCIE or similarCisco, F, Palo Alto certifications a plusSolarwindsNetflowWireSharkBilingual (French & English), oral and writtenAble to documentCoordination (TELCOs, integrators)Results-orientedBasic working knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM)Understanding of ITIL processesREQUIRED - ESSENTIALExperience deploying, managing SDWAN solutionExperience deploying, managing WAN / LANExperience deploying, managing WiFiCertication : CCIE or similarExpertise with CISCO (Router / switch / FW)Expertise with FExpertise with PaloAltoBilingual (French / English)Coordination expertise (Telco, integrator)REQUIRED - DESIREDExpertise with SolarwindsExpertise with NetflowExpertise with WireSharkNon-negotiable SkillsCISCO LANPAN FWICISCO ISE expertise is a PLUSIdeal years of experience for the roleyearsProject that they will be working onMAINTENANCE FACILITIES UPGRADEDay to day operationsVariety of projects that they could be working on : network evolution, wifi project, LAN, SD WANInterview roundsst Online teams for now.
