Group Benefits Implementation Specialist Join to apply for the Group Benefits Implementation Specialist role at Sun Life. This role involves onboarding new Group Benefits clients and managing major plan changes by applying project management skills, processes, and methodology. You will work in partnership with clients, advisors, business development, and internal stakeholders to deliver value‑added benefits and superior service. Location: Hybrid (remote and office based) Reporting to: Manager, GB Implementation Responsibilities Define and optimize project scope, ensuring control of scope creep. Create and maintain detailed project timelines, task assignments, deliverables, and targets. Direct all project phases from initiation to closure, applying best‑practice project management techniques. Work with subject matter experts to construct client structures and gather requirements. Proactively manage changes, risks, issues, and actions using appropriate tools. Manage client and advisor relationships to ensure delivery expectations are met. Communicate project updates regularly to internal and external stakeholders. Lead and collaborate with multi‑site project teams, using leadership, influencing, and facilitation skills. Represent Sun Life at finalist presentations. Qualifications Bilingualism (French and English) required for Quebec positions. Previous experience with Group Benefits products, services, and systems. Minimum 2 years of experience working directly with internal and external business partners. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks across several projects. Solid knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and methodologies. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to relate well to diverse personalities. Client‑centric focus with the ability to see long‑term outcomes and impacts. Excellent presentation skills. Preferred Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience. PMP certification or equivalent work experience. GBA or CEBS designation. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Additional Information Travel to Toronto, Waterloo, Montreal, Vancouver & Calgary when necessary. Valid driver’s license required. Base pay ranges from $58,000 to $93,000, depending on location and other factors. Eligible employees also participate in incentive plans and other discretionary awards.
