As knowledgeable sales professionals, contractor sales representatives are able to make recommendations which solve customers’ problems.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrates high standards of safety and customer serviceIs a resource of knowledge for our customersProduces quotes, material lists and follows up on deliveriesAdvances toward weekly, monthly and annual sales targetsMaintains a contact list and contact schedule for prospective and existing customersGrows the geographic sales area by building new relationships with contractors and strengthening relationships with existing accountsCold-calling new customers to build their business portfolioContinually learns about products and market conditionsQualificationsIndependent, problem solverConfident, energetic and self-motivatedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOrganized, and can manage changing priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers, and build rapport with existing customersExperience in sales is preferredKnowledge of construction products is an assetAbility to work remotely from various locationsA valid driver’s license is requiredAbout UsFounded in 1882, J.D.
