Contractor Sales Representativespartner with contractors to fully understand their needs and assist in planning construction projects. As knowledgeable sales professionals, contractor sales representatives can make recommendations which solve customers’ problems. For this position you will receive a base salary plus uncapped commission following a probationary periodResponsibilitiesDemonstrates high standards of safety and customer serviceIs a resource for sales associatesProduces quotes, material lists and follows up on deliveriesAchieves weekly, monthly and annual sales targetsMaintains a contact list and contact schedule for prospective and existing customersGrows the geographic sales area by building new relationships with contractors and strengthening relationships with existing accountsContinually learns about products and market conditionsQualificationsConfident, energetic and self-motivatedExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOrganized, and can manage changing priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to quickly develop a trusting relationship with new customers, and build rapport with existing customersExperience in sales is preferredA knowledge of lumber and building materials, and the construction process is an assetAbout the TeamKent is the largest retail building supply chain in Atlantic Canada.
