What You’ll Be Doing When you join our Career Accelerator Program (CAP) you will kickstart your career and gain the experience necessary to excel in diverse and impactful roles at a leading Canadian financial institution. CAP is an 18‑month rotational program with three six‑month rotations that offers significant flexibility for you to carve your own path aligned with your personal and professional goals. As a CAP Associate you will take on rotations in a variety of areas within CIBC’s Cyber Third‑Party and Resilience teams (Access Management, Cyber Operations, Cloud Security, etc.) based on personal interest and business demand. Throughout your rotations you will develop knowledge around the countless roles, responsibilities and inter‑dependencies found within Information Security at CIBC through challenging assignments and rotation experiences that inform where your career will take you post program. In addition to your day‑to‑day rotation work, you will have the opportunity to pursue your interests and passions by getting involved in meaningful program‑specific work such as internal program committees, peer‑to‑peer committees, training opportunities and more. Upon joining CAP you will be set up for success with comprehensive orientation, a mentorship program and many individual and group learning opportunities. At CIBC we enable a hybrid work arrangement where you can manage your work activities flexibly: 1–3 days per week on‑site and the remainder remote. How You’ll Succeed Passion for Cyber, Third‑Party Risk and Resilience: A strong curiosity and desire to learn emerging trends in financial services, technology innovations and client experience advancements. Proficiency with MS‑Office suite tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.). Collaboration: Enjoy collaborating with a team to devise innovative solutions that make a difference and establish partnerships across teams to get your work done. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Not afraid to ask questions and seek clarity on what is required of you in your rotations. Relationship Building: Excel at developing relationships with various stakeholders and partners. Time Management: Effective self‑management practices to manage multiple concurrent responsibilities and activities and make effective judgments when prioritizing and allocating your time. Who You Are Digitally savvy: Seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. Easily adapt to new tools and trends. Love to learn: Passionate about growing your knowledge; know there is no limit to what you can achieve. Important Information You must have graduated (in 2024 or 2025) or be graduating in 2026 from a post‑secondary institution with a degree in Business, Technology or Science, and would like to pursue a career within Cyber Security.
