In this role, you will identify, analyze and assess the risks on large borrowers and provide a recommendation on CMHC’s continued insurance business.What You'll DoPrepare credit risk assessments of applicants supporting the Multi-Unit programs.Review financial statements and organizational structure, calculate financial ratios, and prepare/present a credit risk report to management.Provide advice and recommendations to appropriate staff and management on applicants’ creditworthiness.Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to gain a thorough understanding of the operational environment in order to influence complex business decisions.Perform, document, and guide ad hoc financial analysis and provide analytical assistance to various internal stakeholders.What You Should HaveAn undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in financial risk management, with demonstrated expertise in:Credit risk assessment and mitigation strategiesCommercial Mortgage lending practices and Real estate market dynamicsUnderwriting standards and guidelinesLoan structuring and portfolio analysisCollateral evaluation and risk exposure analysisA proven ability to independently assess complex credit scenarios, applying deep industry knowledge and sound judgment to support decision-making.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think strategically and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.A solid understanding of accounting principles and standards, including their application in financial risk contexts.Familiarity with credit risk management frameworks, policies, and methodologies used in regulated financial environments.Exceptional communication skills, in both official languages (French and English) , with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.BenefitsAnnual Paid vacation.Annual individual performance incentive.Defined benefit pension plan.Comprehensive group insurance plan to support your well-being from day one.Support towards your personal and professional growth with training, mentorship and more.An inclusive workplace culture and environment.We’re committed to employment equity and encourage women, Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, veterans and persons of all races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities and expressions to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
