Summary:

The primary focus of the role over the next 12 months is to support our Biologics Engineering (BE) function with a focus on learning projects that advance skills and know-how in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and gene-data biologics (GDB). You will work independently to support the delivery of high-quality learning initiatives in a complex, dynamic, and global setting. You will be an excellent networker and collaborator with business partners and subject matter experts to deliver quality and innovative learning resources, coordinate global cohort-based programmes, and drive communications to garner support and interest from partners and the learner audience alike.

  1. Work closely with project leads to gather technical content from R&D subject matter experts, assimilating and synthesizing complex information to deliver engaging learning resources.
  2. Support development of community of practice and master classes for training in GDB.
  3. Review, refresh, and create technical/scientific learning resources (e.g., slides, eLearning, video production) to support knowledge pathways within Degreed (AZ learning technology platform).
  4. Manage operational delivery of key elements of R&D/BE learning programmes.
  5. Liaise with external L&D vendors for assessment of capability and oversight of project delivery.
  6. Deliver and facilitate in-person and virtual R&D/BE learning seminars and events.
  7. Stay abreast of external trends in L&D technologies and approaches, making recommendations for R&D/BE learning programmes.
  8. Contribute to sharing of best practices and developing L&D capability for self and peers.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Excellent understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design, and learning delivery in a technical business setting.
  2. Practical experience building high-quality learning resources with content creation tools (e.g., li>
  3. Creative flair to simplify complex scientific and technical concepts for engagement and knowledge retention.
  4. Solid operational and project management skills to coordinate and drive delivery of tactical work.
  5. Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.
  6. Experience delivering training, workshops, or global events, leveraging technology for both in-person and virtual learning.
  7. Proactive, self-starter able to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  8. Commitment to own professional development.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Qualified to degree level in a scientific/technical field and/or higher-level qualifications or accreditations in learning and development related subject area.
  2. Previous work experience in a pharma environment and knowledge of the R&D drug development life cycle.
  3. Knowledge and expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies in a scientific context.
