Senior National Accounts Manager

Summary:

Reporting directly to the Vice President Retail Sales, the Senior National Accounts Manager oversees all aspects of the accounts, growth, and business relationship with all retail customers with the objective of delivering sales and new business development.

Key Responsibilities:

· Communicates strategies to the Retail Sales team.

· Oversees category reviews with National Account Manager to Category Buyers for the purposes of annual negotiation, business review, or launch of new products. Identifies issues and opportunities to further develop Freshouse Foods business results.

· Ensures Freshouse Foods position as the national leader in proteins by promoting product lines and seeking opportunities to present technical and performance product information to the customer.

· Develops a deep understanding of the customer’s strategy and oversee the development of joint customer business plans that support the broader Retail Private Label strategy and objectives. Inclusive of volume, GP, trade spend, promotional plans and business development plans.

· Sets direction, performance objectives, provides coaching and support for a high performing sales team.

· Helps develop Sales Associate team members.

· Builds and maintains knowledge base of competitors and operator/customer trends in the marketplace/industry and integrates this information into strategic recommendations.

· Develops a detailed database of opportunities by customer, competitive landscape, and timing.

· Forecasts and delivers team budgets for the function with control of trade spend.

· Valid Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle.

· This position is full time and ideally full time in the office.

Requirements:

· University degree in Business or related area.

· 5-7 years' experience managing a team of professionals.

· Strategic Account Management and Sales Training expertise.

· Deep expertise and knowledge of the Retail industry including Distributors, Brokers, and Buying Groups.

· Experience with National accounts.

· Strong Leadership skills with demonstrated ability to coach and develop a team to deliver strong performance and results.

· Experience with multi-level relationship building, including confident ability to present to and interact with customers’ senior management.

· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and demands.

· Strong Category and Project Management skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment internally and externally.

· Strong analytical, planning, presentation, problem solving and negotiation skills.

· Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

· On-site 5-days a week.

· Prolong periods of sitting.

· Plant environment – cold, noisy, and busy.

· PPE required when on plant floor.

· Fast-pace and changing environment.

Salary:

· Depending on Experience and Qualifications:
