Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchaser, located in Inukjuak, QC. The Purchaser will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely reception of required operational resources. Day-to-day tasks include tracking orders, preparing purchase orders, and collaborating with various departments to meet purchasing needs. Overview The Northern Village of Inukjuak, also known as Village Nordique du Inukjuak, is the official municipal government of Inukjuak, QC. This local government entity is responsible for managing and providing community services, ensuring the welfare and development of its residents. The Northern Village of Inukjuak aims to foster a thriving and sustainable community. Key Responsibilities Implementing tendering process in collaboration with all municipal services. Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability and quality of services. Collaborating with various internal services to ensure they fulfill all customer requests. Initiating all logistics for operations related to sealift orders. Maintaining and developing strong working relationships with suppliers and ensuring monitoring on their performance. Keeping track of contracts and monitoring inventory to ensure that services are never short of supplies. Assisting in the development of all reports related to purchasing. Issuing purchase orders to suppliers on a regular basis and informing the internal services. Carry out any related tasks as requested by superior. Requirements Minimum of secondary school diploma or experience in a related field. General knowledge of purchasing and procurement practices. Experience in sealift operations and inventory control. Capacity to plan, organize and control his/her work. Trustworthy and a good capacity to communicate with various internal and external partners and to work with others. Good capacity to work with computers and internet. Salary Salary based on experience and salary scale. Benefits Travel Benefits of $3,000.00 (no dependents) or $5,000.00 (with dependents) after 12 months of service. Participate in an employee pension plan and group insurance plan.
