Performance Assessment and Development Strategy:

  • Own the performance management strategy for backstage, RSC and stores including periodic review of performance management framework.
  • Ensure performance management integrates with the total rewards strategy.
  • Foster a performance-oriented culture through driving ongoing enhancements to the Performance and Development cycle.
  • Ensure goal setting supports are in place that align organizational objectives to individual goals.
  • Equip leaders with the skills, knowledge and resources to provide performance-based coaching and feedback.
  • In-depth knowledge of performance calibrations and reporting outcomes.
  • Experience executing performance management programs at scale.

Succession and Talent Pipeline Strategy:

  • Own and evolve the framework that drives a talent pipeline and strategy, geared towards identifying high-potential employees across many levels of the leadership pipeline.
  • Manage the Talent & Succession Planning Cycle with periodic continuous improvement reviews in conjunction with HR VPs.
  • Allocate resources including budget that supports development of high potential both at individual and cohort level.
  • Build HR and line leader capability in talent planning and fostering talent sharing between departments.
  • Report on talent metrics and act as a key contributor to the annual board report responsibility.
  • Design and manage high-potential talent development programs – DDP, MDP, RISE, ROTMAN, TMU.
  • Support retail leadership development training for management training programs.
  • Experience with leadership development training programs to support as required redesign of frontline programs.
  • Act as the interface with HR on development of key talent.
  • Ensuring that diversity is foundational across all talent solutions is a key priority, aligning with broader organizational values.
  • Oversee the budget for high potential development and program sponsorships.
  • Manage and oversee executive coaches including managing coaches, invoices and negotiation of rates.

Leadership Strategy, Assessment & Team Effectiveness:

  • Maintain and continually strengthen the strategic alignment across multiple stakeholders required to develop and execute a 3 Year leadership development strategy aligned with organizational goals.
  • In line with company strategy, evolve the leadership strategy to continuously meet evolving business needs.
  • Direct the assessment methodology and tools for integration into selection and development processes including 360 Feedback programs and psychometric assessments.
  • Skilled with delivering assessment feedback, and coach and oversee team of internal assessment debrief team and continually build capability.
  • Set the approach and resources that support executive leadership transitions at VP level e.g. Director to VP promotions, external transitions.
  • Custodian of leadership development model and ensure integration to key talent programs.
  • Own, design, and integrate leader onboarding processes.
  • Own all aspects of leadership development pathways, programs, and resources for IC, First Line Leader, and Senior Leader.
  • Set strategy and evolution of My Journey our development pathways for employees and our leadership development resource guide.
  • Oversee the budget for leadership development. Manage vendors providing services for leadership and high potential development.
  • Oversee the delivery of leadership skills training to store management trainees and other leadership development programs.
  • Set the strategy for new leader onboarding.
What you have to offer:
  • An Undergraduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
  • Experience across all areas of talent management, including performance, development, career management, leadership development, competencies, psychometric and 360 assessments, leadership coaching.
  • Work with HR Directors to ensure functional talent strategies are in place.
  • Experience in learning and development preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience leading national bi-lingual team.
  • Success in partnering with the HRBP, business and translating business strategy into practical and pragmatic talent management practices.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, and drive for alignment in a matrix environment.
  • Proven track record of talent solution development, from needs assessment to implementation.
  • Proven use of change management principles.
  • Experience in retail preferred or demonstrated ability to span multiple industries and adjust style, approach and solutions.
  • Knowledge of Korn Ferry suite of assessments a benefit or equivalent.
