As an M&A Analyst or Associate, you will actively participate in a wide variety of transactions headed by senior members of the M&A team.

Your Job

  1. Preparation of materials and presentations to clients
  2. Conducting financial analysis and modeling in support of transactions
  3. Originating and executing M&A and other advisory services
  4. Conducting a variety of industry and company research and analysis
  5. Performing various tasks supporting senior team members in their deal execution and client coverage efforts

The Toronto-based M&A team is looking for an Analyst or Associate to play an important role in supporting all client coverage groups as part of their strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions. p>

This role will appeal to highly motivated individuals with experience in investment banking and corporate finance seeking to further develop their careers in an entrepreneurial and high-energy environment. Emphasis is placed on financial analysis, M&A transaction modeling and written presentations, but the ideal candidate must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients and their advisors.

Basic Requirements

  1. Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting or related field to the sector of activity
  2. At least 1-3 years of investment banking, corporate finance or M&A experience
  3. Strong analytical and exceptional financial modeling skills
  4. Proficiency in the creation of PowerPoint presentations and other written documents
  5. Ability to work on multiple projects with time sensitive deliverables
  6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
  7. Fluency in French is considered an asset
