PepsiCo Foods Canada has current openings at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Capital Projects Leader, as well as a New Graduate Capital Projects Leader.ResponsibilitiesApply sound engineering principles to all assigned projects.Manage all projects using Early Management principles.Where necessary, create scope of work documents for preliminary projects to determine project design, project feasibility, and project specification. Prepare capital appropriation requests (CARs) for review and approval on assigned projects.Prepare and maintain updated cost and lead-time estimates for assigned projects and cost studies.Obtain and adopt all requirements associated with assigned projects including but not limited to building permits, environmental regulations, sanitary design, good manufacturing practices, safety, OSHA, and all governmental regulations.Specify, bid, and purchase necessary services and equipment to complete assigned projects with minimal interruption to production. Maintain and upkeep project purchases by managing purchase orders, invoices, and cost tracking documents as per audit standards.Supervise and coordinate installation by contractors, plant labor, and support services to provide efficient and timely completion of assigned projects. Oversee preparation of all necessary drawings following installation and distribute where applicable.Provide and/or coordinate training to maintenance and operators on all new equipment installed on assigned project.Complete cost studies and cost estimates for yearly projects.Complete full project closures on all assigned projects.Be innovative in identifying ways to decrease utility and maintenance costs.
