p>Why Fraser Health?

We are seeking a hematologist with specialized expertise in treating myeloid malignancies. The successful candidate will join a collaborative care team dedicated to excellence and will engage in clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities. There is an option for either a short-term locum or a permanent position, based on the candidate’s preference.

Candidates must have or be working towards Fellowship standing with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, along with a Certificate of Special Competence in hematology or completed hematology residency training. Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia and meeting BC Cancer’s Professional Advisory Committee credentialing requirements is required. Additionally, candidates should be eligible for a clinical appointment within the Division of Medical Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the University of British Columbia and must hold or be eligible for a valid medical license in Canada to apply.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
