This senior‑level position requires a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge in bridge engineering, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex bridge projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership for bridge operations in Alberta, overseeing project delivery, business growth, and team development Manage a portfolio of bridge projects from proposal to completion, ensuring quality, financial performance, and client satisfaction Lead, mentor, and grow a team of bridge engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and engagement Support recruitment, performance management, and professional development of staff Collaborate with regional branches to support local projects and cross‑functional initiatives Drive business development efforts and maintain strategic relationships with key public and private sector clients Oversee resource planning, workload management, safety, quality, and operational success Serve as a senior technical authority in bridge engineering, contributing to standards, innovation, and best practices across the organization Represent the bridge team in industry associations, client meetings, and community initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering, including project leadership Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta Skills & Attributes Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing teams and operations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Business development mindset with proven client relationship management experience Proven experience in delivering municipal, highway, transit, or pedestrian bridge projects Strong technical background in bridge design, inspection, or rehabilitation Experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors bridge projects is an asset Seniority level Director Employment type Full‑time Job function Professional Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Wood West & Associates Inc. by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
