Learn more about OCL here: www.oclgroup.caThe RoleWe are seeking a motivated Shop Fabrication Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. This is a full-time, shop-based role with a schedule of Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am – 5:00 pm. Future project requirements may include overtime, weekend shifts, or short-term field work.Compensation & Benefits3rd and 4th year rates are 80% and 90% respectively of Journeyperson wage which is $44.00 per hourOvertime at time and a half after 8 hours per day6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hoursBenefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision, health, dental, paramedicals, travelLong term disability, AD&D, life insurance, dependent life insuranceWeekly payResponsibilitiesMaintain equipmentRead blueprints and specificationsLayout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processesDemonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving of pipes, valves and fittingsLayout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair pressurized piping systemsHydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as requiredUse testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errorsMaintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashionRead and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specificationsRed-line update drawings to an as-built conditionEnsure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safelyComplete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards, procedures and practicesMay perform other related duties assignedMaintain shop cleanlinessKey Skills/CompetenciesPrevious fabrication shop experience is an assetReliable with a strong work ethicGood attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamVersatile and flexible - able to work in the field or on a project as neededA motivated, self-starterEager to learn, develop and growTakes pride in their workmanship; aims for a zero repair rateTakes pride in safety, document control, lock-up procedures & preventative maintenanceExcellent english communication skills requiredAble to follow directionsPerforms well under pressure and tight deadlinesExperience/Education/QualificationsRegistered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice PipefitterRegistered Journeyman PipefitterPrevious experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environmentCSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS 2015)May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sitesMay need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sitesClass 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from workOCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
