Senior Experience Designer, Generative AI | AEC (Canada, East Coast Remote)Autodesk is transforming the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry by integrating AI technology into flagship products such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Forma. The role focuses on shaping how customers utilize generative AI tools, building foundation models, and designing innovative AI experiences across the AEC platform.ResponsibilitiesPartner with product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation.Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity, from high‑level wireframes to conceptual presentations.Rapidly develop and test visionary experience design concepts internally and with select customers.Use design thinking methodologies to run workshops and facilitate brainstorming sessions.Leverage design system standards to ensure consistency and cohesion across products.Lead design presentations and discussions with a wide range of audiences.Maintain active contact with users through field research, interviews and user conferences to translate insights into designs for new experiences.Research user interface trends and the potential impact of new technologies on the user experience.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of related professional user experience design and user research experience.Demonstrated experience working in/designing for complex B2B/technical platform experiences.Deep knowledge of AEC customer workflows and recognized leadership in the experience design of BIM and 3D applications.First‑hand experience with 3D tools and building geometry workflows like Revit, Forma, or other 3D canvas tools.Depth of understanding in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and related experience design patterns (i.e., prompting and dialog experiences, presenting generated outputs, and simplifying complex data experiences into conversational patterns, etc.).Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.Current portfolio of commercial UX work.Strong facilitation skills and a bias toward action in agile, fast‑moving environments.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distil complex ideas and optimistically reframe design challenges.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree.Experience using tools and workflows that are supported by AI.Experience in the AEC lifecycle and with Autodesk tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and Forma.History designing cutting edge AI experiences (i.e., prompting and dialog experiences, presenting generated outputs).Experience with data science and/or machine learning engineering.Experience implementing personalized and dynamic user experiences.Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package.
