Working closely with the business, Resource Management ensures the effective utilization and development of our people.This role contributes significantly to KPMG delivering its business performance and also plays a key role in helping individuals at KPMG fulfil their career ambitions.The Resource Manager has overall responsibility for client facing professionals within their service area, which includes the assignment of resources at all levels. The objective is to align individual career development and preferences with client assignment needs as well as the financial objectives of the business. This role will support our Tax practice and report to the National Tax Resourcing Lead.What You Will DoManager on the National Tax Resource Management Team to effectively report and analyze data and resources to help make staffing decisionsInteract/connect with Partners and managers in each team to better understand staffing needsFacilitate Partner/Manager conflict resolution with respect to staffingProduce/Review and provide input to Leadership with utilization reports, forecasts and variance reports. Delivers process compliance statisticsProvide advanced warning of problems/ resource availabilityIdentify available resources, matching skills with engagement requirements. Where required, facilitate the use of resources from within other areas.Maintain a solid understanding of the resources areas of expertise, skills sets, project experiences, client continuity and staffing preferencesWork regularly with our Resource Management softwareSchedule, plan and manage resource needs by attending Manager/Partner planning meetings to understand staffing and client requirements including conflict resolution and liaison with other stakeholdersSupport the team with projects, meetings and ad hoc work that might ariseWhat You Bring To The RoleStrategic and innovative thinking skills with strong problem-solving and project management skills, including the ability to understand the financial impact of relevant options;Ability to translate business requirements/needs into suggested programs and actions;A passion for client service and focused achievement of business results;Strong relationship building skills with experience engaging leaders at all levels and partnering with internal teams;Ability to maintain control under pressure;Ability to work and navigate effectively in a matrix organization/partnership structure;Ability to be open minded, practical and agile with change and effectively manage pressure;Excellent judgment; has a broad view and good common sense;Strong leadership image, impeccable ethical standards and integrity, objectivity, confidence and dedication;Strong computer skills, Power BI, MS word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.Experience with resource forecasting tools is an asset;Excellent written and oral business communication skillsPost-Secondary/ University Degree;3 years of experience in a professional services environment either in a client facing, or Resource Management role.Integrity, we do what is right | Excellence, we never stop learning and improving | Courage, we think and act boldly | Together, we respect each other and draw strength from our differences | For Better, we do what mattersKPMG in Canada is a proud equal opportunities employer and we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive and barrier‑free workplace that allows all of our people to reach their full potential.
