Join to apply for the Instrumentation Designer (Junior) role at TSG Staffing Services TSG Staffing Services provided pay range: CA$40.00/hr - CA$50.00/hr (Base pay range for contract) Job Description Assist in maintaining and updating project instrumentation wiring and instrument data sheets. Support the design of instrumentation loops with guidance from senior engineers or technologists. Help develop documentation and details for projects from development through to project closeout. Ensure compliance with project and site specifications, contract requirements, policies, and codes. Assist in preparing instrumentation loop diagrams, as‑builts, IJBs, and IPLs. Support project activities including cost estimation, documentation, and scheduling. Contribute to development of Construction Work Packages under supervision. Participate in field reviews and assist planners by providing design‑related input and observations. Assist with project updates, vendor communications, and reporting on instrumentation work. Support detailed instrumentation design, including basic interfacing to PLCs and DCS systems. Job Requirements Instrumentation Engineering Technologist Diploma or relevant Engineering Degree. 2+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation design, including some exposure to field design or project work. Familiarity with Management of Change (MOC) is an asset. Registration with ASET (CET or P.Tech.) is an asset. Basic technical knowledge of instrumentation devices, components, and applications. Exposure to INtools or similar design software is an asset. Experience with SAP or other project management systems is a plus. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and grow under supervision.
