Job Title: Supply Chain Team Lead

Reports To: Purchasing Manager

Department: Supply Chain

Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Purpose:

The Supply Chain Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing and supporting various aspects of the supply chain process. This includes monitoring procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to efficiently meet the company's operational needs. By maintaining effective communication with suppliers and production teams, the role ensures timely product delivery, proper inventory management, and proactive handling of potential disruptions. Their efforts align supply chain processes with business objectives, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and contributing to the organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the supply chain process from sourcing raw materials to delivering the final product, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  2. Assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies, including inventory management, demand planning, and optimizing logistics.
  3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and prices while maintaining quality and reliability standards.
  4. Analyze shipping and delivery data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve performance.
  5. Lead and develop supply chain professionals, providing training and mentorship to enhance skills and promote career growth within the team.
  6. Suggest and implement improved processes and alignment of best practices.
  7. System approvals for purchase orders.
  8. Assist and backup team members as required, stepping in to help with order backlog.
  9. Ensure good system tools are in place to provide sales order confirmations.
  10. Assist in analyzing demand patterns and inventory levels to create accurate forecasts.
  11. Support the development and maintenance of inventory management systems.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production schedules and inventory levels.
  13. Help monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain operations.
  14. Participate in the preparation of reports for management to facilitate decision-making.
  15. Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  16. Other projects as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Management team.

Qualifications:

  1. 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role in an electronics manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supply chain or logistics role, including internships.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  5. Knowledge of supply chain processes and the ability to read and interpret Gerber files.
  6. Proven interpersonal, presentation, time management, and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced team environment under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  8. Advanced skills with MS Office, specifically Excel; experience with MRP and ERP systems is an asset.
