Overview The Medical Collaborative is seeking a Family Physician to join our practice at Port McNeill & District Hospital. Full‑time, part‑time, or practice‑share opportunities exist. Facility Information Port McNeill & District Hospital is a 10‑bed acute care facility that offers emergency, hospice and palliative care, diagnostic imaging/radiology, laboratory services, mental health, and low‑risk obstetric services. The town of Port McNeill is surrounded by a spectacular natural environment with world‑class recreational opportunities. Responsibilities Provide on‑call emergency room coverage (average 6–8 24‑hour shifts per month). Participate in an interdisciplinary, team‑based practice. Deliver rural family medicine services to the community. Qualifications Experience in rural family medicine. Willingness to work in a collaborative practice environment. Start Date 1 July 2026 Clinic Hours Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm Remuneration Fee for Service Benefits Recruitment Incentive: $20,000 (full‑time) Relocation Costs Reimbursement: up to $15,000 Fee Premium: 22.82 % Annual Flat Fee: $35,364.48 Rural CME: $1,320 / yr for up to 2 yrs; $3,520 / yr for years 3‑4; $5,720 / yr after 4 yrs Community Information Port McNeill, population 2,600, is located on the north‑east coast of Vancouver Island. The town offers a mild climate, year‑round recreation (sport fishing, windsurfing, scuba diving, boating, hiking, wildlife viewing), a thriving forestry industry, aquaculture activity, and a growing eco‑tourism sector.
