Learn more about the DXC story at https://www.dxc.technology. Summary Installs, investigates and resolves routine and complex issues with computer software and hardware equipment. Essential Job Functions Analyzes, logs, tracks and resolves complex software/hardware issues related to networking connectivity, printers, servers and applications to meet business needs. Coordinates hardware/software installations and upgrades in accordance with company policy. Recommends and implements solutions for complex matters. Monitors and troubleshoots symptoms to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous availability. Oversees the installation of client‑specific applications and systems; ensures compliance with operating procedures and makes necessary revisions. Coordinates testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services; ensures changes comply with operating procedures and recommends updates. Uses standard corporate tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes. Basic Qualifications Must have the following skills: Bilingual in English and French. 5 years of work experience in Canada. Ability to obtain Canadian government security clearance immediately. Working knowledge of Linux servers: building, maintaining and upgrading virtual machine environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Satellite, proxy server, subscription and repository management). Strong skills in hardening servers according to CIS and NIST standards. Familiarity with GIT code management. Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure services. Understanding of SSL certificate deployment. Good knowledge of networking such as configuring network bonds, multi‑VLAN environments, host‑based firewalls, proxy and OpenVPN. Strong shell programming with Bash, Python and Ansible; Perl knowledge an asset. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of experience with computer systems or networking. Experience installing and upgrading computer hardware. Experience with automated software installation/updating procedures. Other Qualifications Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work and manage multiple tasks. Good analytical and problem‑solving skills for system troubleshooting. Excellent communication skills with support personnel, customers and managers. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment On‑site presence required in Longueuil, Quebec.
