Job SummaryClient is looking for Windows/Linux system administration who has migration experience from Onprem to AzureResponsibilitiesDeploy, migrate, and integrate customer systems with AzureCreate and maintain custom scripts and automations to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasksPerform ongoing performance tuning, upgrades, and resource optimization as directed/requestedProvide remote support for Syntax Azure Managed Services clients via all channels (Help Desk, phone, email), adhering to SLA guidelines and providing thorough and timely communicationInteract with Technical and Application Consultants and customer staff to support, scale, and maintain customer cloud-hosted infrastructure, according to best practices and customer requirementsAssist with root cause and failure analysis to resolve systems problemsQualifications2+ years' experience in an Azure role A solid mix of 5+ years of Windows/Linux system administration, storage, and network experience, along with creativity and superb communication abilities, to provide consultative support to clients.Able to prioritize various client deadlines, work on multiple tasks throughout the work week, and coordinate with other team members to serve customers effectively.Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal direction, as well as in collaboration with team members, and provide direction/guidance to junior staff.Experience with the following technologies/skills are required:English language fluencyAzure experienceKnowledge of servers, networks, storage, client-server systems, and firewallsAdvanced working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems - system architecture and design, as well as experience with supporting and troubleshooting stability and performance issuesSolid understanding of and deep experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware/Hyper-V)Knowledgeable in core network services including DHCP, DNS, IP routing, VLANs, layer 2/3 routing, and load balancingKnowledge and experience configurating routers and switchesKnowledge and experience configurating point-to-point VPN and/or DMVPNExperience with storage configuration and managementExperience reading, writing, or modifying PowerShell and Bash scriptsExperience reading, writing, or modifying Terraform Json filesExperience reading, writing, or modifying Python codeExperience using gitInformation & system security including cloud access controls and monitoringServer Optimization and Hardening, Vulnerability Research and RemediationIn addition to the specific skills listed above, experience with any of the following items would be a plus:Automation experience (Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Ansible)Working knowledge of software-defined lifecycles, product packaging, and deploymentsSQL or Oracle database administration (Backup, Restore, Tuning, Monitoring, Management)ITIL/PCI/SOX/SOC I/SOC II compliance experience/trainingOracle JD Edwards, EBS, or SAP experienceMust possess the following Azure certifications:At least 2 from: Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate
