We empower our customers and communities with boldness and optimism, aiming to leave a lasting legacy.Position OverviewProtostatix, a division of Englobe, is seeking an Intermediate / Senior Structural Engineer for our Etobicoke, Ontario office. You must have local industry experience and work collaboratively within the Structural team, emphasizing teamwork over isolated design/detailing.Does this role suit you? Learn more about itYour Main ResponsibilitiesProficiency in Wood construction projects; experience in Concrete and Steel projects is also required.Perform site investigations, inspections, reviews, and prepare technical reports and compliance letters.Describe existing conditions and provide engineering solutions through assessments and studies.Perform calculations, analysis, and design of structural elements per applicable codes.Manage and generate project documentation such as drawings and specifications.Manage project schedules and budgets.Interact with clients and contractors throughout projects.Review designs and drawings from junior staff, providing mentorship.Review contractor submittals and develop design modifications as needed.Market services to new and existing clients.Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.What Makes You UniqueRegistered with a provincial engineering association (PEO, EGBC, APEGS, etc.).Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.5+ years of relevant experience in structural design, especially in wood construction.Knowledge of Canadian building codes and standards.Experience in project management and contract administration.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with structural analysis software (ETABS, SAFE, SFRAME, etc.).Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and as part of a team.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Ontario, including remote areas.What Makes Englobe UniqueOpportunity to work on diverse projects of all sizes.Supportive environment valuing growth, mentoring, and skills development.Benefits including telehealth, flexible schedules, hybrid work, insurance, and RRSP.Employee assistance programs for you and your family.Employee TestimonialsSince joining Englobe, I’ve felt fully integrated.
