OverviewOccupational Therapist role at Lifemark Health Group. Location: Ajax, ON. Schedule: 7 hour/week.ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, and specialized seating and positioning assessments.Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations.Consult with local vendors regarding equipment trials and complete applications/funding letters to the Ministry of Health, insurance agencies and other funding parties.Provide informal education on seating and positioning, activities of daily living independence, wheelchairs and adaptive aids; provide ongoing education to clients and families to improve function, independence and safety.Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls and injury prevention.Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chart as per College of Occupational Therapists guidelines.QualificationsRegistration with the Provincial Association of Occupational Therapists.Experience in Long Term Care preferred.Mandatory requirementValid Vulnerable Sector screening check and proof of Tuberculin (2-Step Mantoux Test) clearance (within 6 months).About LifemarkLifemark Seniors Wellness is a rehabilitation-focused company providing therapy solutions for seniors.
