Pediatric Occupational Therapist – Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) – a division of Lifemark Location: Ajax, ON (Durham Region) Hours: 12 hours/week Sign-on bonus up to $5,000.00 available Lifemark’s Home and Community Care division, Community Advantage Rehabilitation (CAR) is looking for registered occupational therapists to provide services to our pediatric clients in school and homes within the Durham Region. The position can be flexible with part‑time to full‑time hours depending on client caseload. Responsibilities Provide ministry‑funded, community‑based occupational therapy services to pediatric clients (infants to 18 years) in their homes, private schools, or virtually. Conduct assessments (via interview, standardized and informal techniques) in fine motor, sensory, feeding, developmental, home safety, home modifications, equipment prescription, mobility, etc. Develop and implement evidence‑based interventions in collaboration with clients/caregivers. Assign patient care plans and supervise occupational therapy assistants when appropriate. Communicate information by providing education to clients/caregivers and linking to community agencies/resources as needed. Complete funding applications as applicable. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans, progress, and discharge summaries according to CAR, referral source, and COTO standards. Opportunity to service private clients. Requirements Registered Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (required). Experience in a community setting is an asset; new graduates are welcome. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an inter‑professional team. Ability to prioritize, self‑schedule, and meet reporting deadlines. Excellent oral, written, and report‑writing skills. Proficiency with computers. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Reliable transportation is required.
