Job Description Mobile Security Professional Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada Employment type: Part-time with various shifts (5 pm–1 am, 1 am–9 am, weekends) Pay: $20.00‒$20.40 per hour Key Responsibilities Conduct mobile patrols of designated areas, including parking lots, premises, and other high-traffic areas, to deter unauthorized activity and ensure safety. Monitor surveillance systems and alarms, promptly responding to any security breaches, disturbances, or suspicious activities. Perform security checks of buildings, doors, windows, and other access points to prevent unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols. Interact with clients, visitors, and employees to provide assistance, directions, and information while enforcing security policies. Report any security incidents, accidents, or hazards immediately to supervisors or appropriate authorities, documenting observations and actions taken. Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and other security personnel to coordinate responses to incidents and emergencies effectively. Maintain accurate logs and records of patrol activities, incidents, and observations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Conduct routine inspections of security equipment, vehicles, and emergency supplies, reporting any issues or deficiencies for prompt resolution. Conduct risk assessments and security audits of client premises, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of security procedures, emergency response protocols, and relevant regulations. Qualifications Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring. Experience with report writing and note-taking. Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems. Valid BC security guard license. Eligibility to work in Canada, 8–24 hours per week. Clear driver’s abstract and BC Full Class 5 licence. First Aid and CPR certification. Minimum age 25 years.
