Our company is hiring an active Security Guard to patrol our high theft locations, and prevent any unauthorized access or entry. Security guards must be able to effectively communicate with other employees and visitors. You will respond to all dispatched calls and secure the premises. As a security guard, it is your responsibility to maintain a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors working in our facilities. The job is never routine, as you will always have something new and exciting to do, while enforcing company policy and complying with all applicable laws.

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute routine security checks in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in the investigation of possible malfeasance, violence, criminal activity and other issues.
- Perform security patrols to maintain a secure environment for employees and customers.
- Address customer service issues, supply basic information about the business, intervene in domestic disputes and maintain a safe perimeter around the property.
- Maintain a log containing the time and location of important events (altercations, 911 calls etc.).
- Respond to potential emergencies by activating emergency response systems (alarms, locks etc.).
- Remove unauthorized individuals from premises; Report to superiors about any breaches in security and safety precautions.

**Salary**: Up to $4,480.00 per month

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
