Position Summary The Interim Manager, Wraparound Support is passionate about working with a team to meet the needs of participants, applicants, or alumni. This position guides participants and applicants through the wraparound process, identifying and coordinating crisis/safety plans, building support teams, clarifying personal and developmental goals, providing ongoing guidance, advocacy, referrals, and facilitating specific needs. The role stabilises housing, achieves vocational and training goals, and develops healthy relationships. The approach includes referrals to external therapy, intensive case management and other mental health interventions, while also forging community partnerships. The interim position is for the duration of a maternity leave and will overlap with the full‑time incumbent. Current Responsibilities and Accountabilities Partnership Engagement and Development Seek and secure new partnerships with community resources, based on community needs. Collaborate with Program Director, Program Managers, and Outreach Management to build and sustain engagement of all wraparound stakeholders. Oversee all program communications regarding crisis identification, coordination, and deployment of support. Lead the development of new protocols for referrals, student intake, assessment and service implementation. Convening all wraparound partners regularly to leverage resources and hold each other accountable to building a strong support network for applicants and participants. Leverage support from professional organizations that provide behavioral, social, and emotional health counselling. Facilitate sessions with participants or applicants to address crises, learning accommodation, and other support needs. Identify, design, and implement program, social, and emotional support services for participants and assist community partners with alignment and coordination of support services. Guide holistic client support, overseeing daily departmental efforts and aligning initiatives with employment, EDI, and reconciliation goals. Develop and deliver ongoing and specialized staff training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer related to resource and learning accommodations, cultural safety, trauma‑informed care, mental health first aid, and supporting diverse populations with complex barriers. Continuously assess participant needs through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and data to identify additional community resources; make appropriate referrals to longer‑term support services. Liaise, advocate, coordinate, and mediate meetings with external resources such as counseling, health, and parental supports. external services, providing ongoing support and check‑ins through the program. Participate in individual supervision, peer support, wellness meetings, and relevant training opportunities. Assess need for crisis/safety plan and implement immediately if needed, ensuring health and safety in compliance with NPowerCanada policies. Data Collection, Reporting, and General Develop, document, and report on client outcomes. Prepare and submit monthly statistical reports, progress reports, and evaluations of program results as required. Maintain data collection among partners, record services through Salesforce, and support the use of data for learning and evaluation. Support and collaborate with NPowerCanada staff across various program areas to foster team cohesion. Job Requirements Specialized training in de‑escalation, conflict resolution, mediation, and negotiation skills. 3–4 years’ experience working with participants and supportive circles, such as families, parenting groups, strength‑based work, team‑building, and high‑needs participants. Good understanding of issues faced by diverse and multi‑barriered populations. Knowledge of mental health diagnosis and potential behavior exhibited by participants. Possesses critical thinking and problem‑solving skills to consistently overcome challenges and leverage resources creatively. Familiarity with risk assessment and crisis support. Cultivating connections: a bridge‑builder passionate about connecting the people we serve with community partners. Experience using Salesforce or other CRM software. Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentational) and interpersonal skills. Strong interpersonal, leadership, management, and analytical skills. Asset: Registered as a certified counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) or a current registration with a regulated health profession. English/French bilingualism considered a strong asset. Holds a valid First Aid Certificate, or commitment to obtain one within 6 months.
