As a key member of our actuarial team, the Actuarial Analyst plays a crucial role in financial reporting, forecasting, and building tools that shape our strategic direction. What you will be doing Build, test, and refine processes for the IFRS 17 financial reporting, disclosures, and valuation efficiency. Provide support in fulfilling regulatory reporting requirements. Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and analysis. Responsible for the quarterly determination of IBNR’s. Perform and/or review gains and losses analysis. Provide financial forecasts of actuarial liabilities and investment income for use in the annual Budget. Perform and/or review experience studies and profitability analysis. Communicate assumptions, observations, and conclusions to stakeholders and provide recommendations within set timelines. Master actuarial tools and workflows, recommend enhancements, and implement approved changes. Gain leadership experience through peer reviews, coaching teammates, and contributing to team planning and prioritization. What you bring to the team A minimum 4‑year bachelor’s degree in a related field preferably with a concentration in Actuarial, Mathematics, or Statistics, or an equivalent field of study is required. Completion of 3 or more exams towards the attainment of Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (A.C.A.S.) designation with continued pursuit towards associateship by actively writing actuarial exams is considered an asset. Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel). Experience working in VBA, Access, SAS, and SQL is an asset. Fluent in English with proven skills in verbal and written communication. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions. High level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks. How you will succeed In the first year, success will be measured by the accurate and timely completion of valuation tasks, effective use of actuarial software, and ensuring 100% compliance with reporting standards. Demonstrating a solid understanding of core principles while contributing to team projects and process improvements is key. Success is also reflected in progress on actuarial exams and greater independence in daily tasks.
