p>The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) seeks a dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead Ontario’s professional association for licensed naturopathic doctors and student members. The CEO will oversee strategic initiatives, financial management, human resources, and government relations, enhancing OAND’s profile as a proactive healthcare advocate.

The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) is a growing professional association representing Ontario’s licensed naturopathic doctors and student members, advocating for naturopathic medicine as a key pillar of proactive primary healthcare. OAND seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide leadership, oversee strategic plan implementation, and enhance the organization’s profile and impact in Ontario. Reporting to the Board, the CEO will manage financial performance, human resources, and government relations while serving as an ambassador for the profession. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare systems, a proven track record in leadership, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and association management, as well as a commitment to advancing the role of naturopathic medicine within Ontario’s healthcare landscape.

Ensure the association undertakes strategic planning on a regular basis, in consultation with the Board of Directors.Carry out strategic planning objectives to ensure that strategic objectives are met.Lead and support the development of organization-wide anti-oppression initiatives and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) practices.Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate budgetary results, variances, and performance trends.Oversee/approve systems and technology operations and implementations related to successfully managing operations of OAND.Strengthen a culture of accountability towards organizational goals to ensure a high level of team performance, while building a culture of openness, collaboration and belonging.As a leader, build an inclusive, equitable, and performance-oriented culture, ensuring that team members have clearly defined roles and are connected to organizational values and strategic goals, feel accountable, are able to thrive, and organizational outcomes are met.Maintain fiscal integrity and a positive public image with respect to employment, compensation and benefits to employees, consultants and contract workers.

Who You Are

You are an innovative and dynamic leader with a passion for naturopathic medicine and/or advancing proactive healthcare. With a strong understanding of the healthcare system and experience driving the success of member-focused organizations, you excel at building collaborative relationships with government and stakeholders to achieve a shared vision. You bring a proven track record of senior leadership, strategic planning, and working effectively with Boards and Committees. Ideally experienced in non-profits or associations, you are eager to bring your leadership and excitement for naturopathic medicine to help shape its future in Ontario.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Senior leadership experience; li>
  • Deep understanding of policy governance boards and how they can best support a small non-profit association.
  • Insight and vision in identifying and anticipating trends in health care and how they affect the role of the OAND. Perceptive when identifying potential risks to and opportunities for the organization.
  • Successful track record in building stakeholder partnerships.
  • Experience operationalizing strategic planning into tactical implementation.
  • Track record of leading and mentoring staff, with a deep commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a diverse and equitable team.
