Laboratory Technician C - Specialty Chemistry Join to apply for the Laboratory Technician C - Specialty Chemistry role at AGAT Laboratories. Summary: AGAT Laboratories is hiring an entry‑level Laboratory Technician to join our Forensics and Specialty Chemistry lab in Calgary. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor and other Laboratory team members, assisting with administrative and basic laboratory activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in your career. What You Will Be Doing Provide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposal. Operate instruments and equipment. With guidance from senior staff perform maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting. Ensure samples are properly entered in the Laboratory Information Management System and are available to laboratory staff in a timely manner. Perform basic analysis. Report results. Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported. Ensure incoming non-sample deliveries are properly processed. Ensure all safety procedures are followed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Other duties as assigned. What You Bring To The Table (Qualifications) Post‑secondary education with a degree or technical diploma. Experience with GC‑MS, LC‑MS, ICP‑MS is a strong asset. Some experience and basic laboratory skills, along with familiarity with lab processes. Experience using volumetric devices. Fluent in English, both written and verbal communication. Basic to intermediate computer skills. Ability to work positively in a fast‑paced environment.
