Laboratory Technician C 

Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Laboratory Technician C to join the Environmental Inorganics Lab working out of our Calgary location. This is an entry level position, working under the Laboratory Supervisor to assist with laboratory tasks and reporting of data.

What you will be doing:

Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples, reagents and calibration solutionsProvide general lab support including washing glassware, cleaning work stations and waste disposalThe successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to completing all necessary tasks with careful attention to detail. Calibrate, operate, maintain and troubleshoot instrumentsCompile, verify and validate accurate data recordsMeet quality assurance and turn around specificationsFollow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures Report resultsOther duties as assignedWhat you bring to the table:Technical diploma or degree is an asset1+ years laboratory experience considered an assetIntermediate computer skills requiredPrevious experience showing the importance of meeting all documentation and and procedural standards. Ability to work in a diligent manner in a pressured environmentFluency in English, both verbal and writtenHand-eye coordination and attention to detailMature work ethicAbility to work independently and in a teamProblem solving, communication, organization, and time management
