As a lead member you will work closely with KPMG Partners on tax planning initiatives and requirements. You will direct the work of junior staff, review their work for accuracy and completeness, research and prepare tax‑planning strategies for clients, and take the lead on the preparation of tax returns. You will set the standard for junior staff by providing ongoing support and opportunities for professional development. What You Will Do Lead client engagements and work closely with Partner on tax planning work. Plan and organize teams for the preparation of tax returns, conduct and present tax research. Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness. Serve the planning and compliance needs of clients. Provide ongoing support and mentoring for staff professional development. Work with other office members to attract new work to the firm. What You Bring To The Role 5 years’ experience in a public accounting firm, at least 3 years in a dedicated Tax role. Professional Accounting Designation and completion (or near completion) of the CPA In‑Depth Tax Course. Excellent people‑management, client‑service, project‑management, and organizational skills. Highly motivated, growth‑oriented, and able to inspire others. Dedication to high standards of client service, professionalism, and quality. Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities and to take on new responsibilities. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $128,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
