We take pride in our safety record and seek new colleagues who are eager to contribute to Yara's culture of “Safe by Choice"ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Sales Agronomist has responsibility for supporting Yara’s sales activities related to the defined Territory.The Sales Agronomist will utilize their demonstrated skills in questioning, active listening, agronomy and business to uncover solutions that meet the needs of the retail and farm customers. The Sales Agronomist will work in close cooperation with the other team members in the defined territory to actively pursue opportunities to position Yara’s crop nutrition solutions through meeting with retailers, consultants, setting up demonstration trials, attending or organizing field days, trade shows and farmer meetings, as well as bring farmer and retail insight into the development of new products and services.Develop relationships with customers and determine needs through demonstrated sales skillsDrive sales by creating demand at the retail and farmer level and execute on the business plan in the defined territory.Be a resource and provide presence for Yara crop nutrition programs and products at the retail and local level as well as at the farm levelExecute demo trials and data collection, and organize field days in conjunction with retailers and farmersMaintain and populate a CRM database to capture market knowledge and the relevance of Yara crop solutionsWork closely with Market Development, Marketing, Product Management and Digital teams to execute crop-specific business strategiesProvide information on crop nutrition and biological trends as far as crops, customers, digital and competitor activityGenerate insights of farmer practices, content for digital promotion, engagement with farmers and retailsCreate newsletters, blogs, or technical pieces for distributionSkill RequirementStrong market and product knowledgeStrong organization and planning skillsStrong communication and influencing skillsStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsProficient in MS office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as digital tools, such as Twitter, and FacebookEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Agronomy or Ag related fieldMinimum 5years of working experience in an agriculture customer-facing roleExperience making presentations to small or large audiencesExtensive travelling within a large territory requiring a valid driver's licenceBe Part of Our Team – Why Work for Us – What We OfferYara Belle Plaine offers a highly competitive total compensation package including:Bonus ProgramEmployee Assistance PlanEmployee Wellness PlanEnhanced Vacation optionHealth and Dental BenefitsPension Plan/Savings PlanAdditional InformationPosition is based out of AB (Red Deer North)Home office basedApply no later thanOctober 31, 2025Knowledge grows through differencesYara is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
