This role will play a key part in bringing lab and pilot-scale systems online, integrating control and power systems, and scaling clean metallurgy from concept to reality. The ideal candidate is both technically rigorous and hands-on, with experience in industrial power distribution, control systems, and hardware implementation. This is a multi-site role based out of our Exeter, NH and Burlington, MA facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation systems for new and existing process unitsCreate and update detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalentSpecify and select hardware components including PLCs, VFDs, circuit protection devices, sensors, and actuatorsBuild, install, and commission electrical panels and field wiring for R&D and pilot systemsTroubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve safety, reliability, and performanceEnsure all electrical work complies with relevant safety codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, etc.)Support system integration with process engineers, including sensor feedback, alarms, and automated control logicContribute to electrical documentation packages including BOMs, settings, test plans, and maintenance proceduresLead hands-on electrical assembly work as needed to meet project milestonesIdentify opportunities for system standardization and design-for-scale in preparation for commercial deploymentQualificationsB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field3–6 years of experience in electrical design and implementation in an industrial, manufacturing, or R&D environmentProven experience designing and commissioning electrical systems including panels, power distribution, and controlsProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (or similar) for schematic and layout developmentStrong understanding of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, motor control, and instrumentationFamiliarity with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, UL)Experience specifying and configuring industrial electrical components (PLCs, VFDs, relays, etc.)Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment across multiple physical sitesExcellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex electrical systemsPassion for building sustainable, real-world solutions to global materials challengesBenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package that is based on expertise.
