In this role, you will: Assist with the development and implementation of technology-driven projects and initiatives focused on automation and AI. Assist with preparation of project management plans and technical documentation. Support senior engineers with technical assignments within the OTR team, such as AVEVA PI data system, control loop optimization, development of industrial control system standards, practices, and procedures. Perform other duties including computer programming and engineering design, as assigned. Required: Currently entering your third or fourth year of a university program in electrical engineering, computer engineering/science or a related field. Must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel occasionally to operations, including northern Saskatchewan and Ontario. Recommended: Previous experience working with industrial/research projects. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite. Experience using programming tools, such as C/C++ or Python. Familiar with design and simulation tools, such as Autodesk suite or SolidWorks. Conditions of Employment: Pre-employment substance test. This is a 16-month temporary student term, starting May 2026 until the end of August 2027. Interviews will take place in December 2025/January 2026. Students will be notified if they are selected for an interview. You will have the opportunity to work hybrid in this position.
