Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrator to join our team in Northern Ontario. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing construction projects, confirming compliance with contract terms, and maintaining effective communication between stakeholders. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team of inspectors. Applicants must be willing and able to travel to project locations across Northern Ontario. Additional Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a team of inspectors to monitor project progress and quality Review and approve contractor submissions and payment certificates Review project schedules and identify any schedule slippage proactively Review compensation requests and change order submissions and negotiate with the Contractor Maintain accurate and up to date filing system of project documentation. Facilitate communication between contractors, clients, and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively Chair project progress meetings and produce accurate meeting minutes Prepare and maintain a daily diary in accordance with the Construction Administration and Inspection Specifications (CAIS) Verifying compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental regulations Coordination of onsite sub‑consultants and quality assurance material testing Education and Experience Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Contract Administrator in construction or infrastructure projects Degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, and/or combination of related experience Successful Completion of MTO T131 Advanced Claims and Dispute Resolution Training Course Registered with PEO as a P.Eng. or with OACETT as Road Construction Contract Administrator (rcca) Knowledge of applicable design standards, OPS specifications, standard drawings, and quality control / quality assurance material testing methods. Knowledge of the application of transportation construction practices and methods including the applicable quality assurance procedures Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders Proven analytical skills for assessing claims and disputes. Proven negotiation skills Experience working on projects in remote or northern locations is an asset Proficiency in contract management software (Kahua, Builterra, etc.) is preferred Ability to utilize computer software such as MS Word and Excel Valid class G driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as required Ability to lift 25 kg This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
