Job Details Work Term : Permanent Work Language : English Hours : 40 hours per week Education : Other trades certificate or diploma Experience : 3 years to less than 5 years Aeronautics / aviation / aerospace science and technology, general Aviation / airway management and operations or equivalent experience Work Site Environment Noisy At heights Work Setting Relocation costs not covered by employer Willing to relocate Tasks Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals and established procedures Inspect maintenance work done by aircraft mechanics Inspect structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure that these systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety Repair and overhaul to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic systems Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical systems Troubleshoot aircraft structural systems Repair and overhaul aircraft structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems Install or modify aircraft engines and mechanical, hydraulic, flight control, fuel and pneumatic systems Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines or other aircraft systems for repair, overhaul and cleaning, and reassemble Inspect work of aircraft mechanics performing modification of aircraft and aircraft mechanical systems to ensure adherence to standards and procedures Perform and document routine maintenance Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies Interpret blueprints / specifications / standards and written technical instructions Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses AME «M» Licence - Aircraft Computer and technology knowledge MS Office Aircraft experience Large jet airplanes Large turboprops Small jet airplane Small turbine helicopter Structural repair experience - aircraft Aircraft structures - general Type of industry experience Aircraft manufacturing Commercial air carrier Corporate aviation General aviation Military aviation Repair and overhaul facility Training organizations Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization Aircraft maintenance - general Security and safety Basic security clearance Criminal record check Driver's validity licence check Airport security clearance Work conditions and physical capabilities Physically demanding Handling heavy loads Standing for extended periods Attention to detail Bending, crouching, kneeling Hand-eye co-ordination Personal suitability Accurate Dependability Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Initiative Reliability Team player Screening questions Are you authorized to work in Canada?
