Our products and services have applications across municipal wastewater, drinking water, environmental contaminant treatment, and residential water treatment, along with ultra-purification of water used in food and beverage manufacturing, pharmaceutical processing, and semiconductor applications.We are looking for an intermediate-level engineer to drive a range of cross-functional technology development projects focused on performance verification, validation, and integration of UVC LEDs in water disinfection systems.This position is part of the Innovation team located in London, ON, and will be hybrid, offering flexible working hours, professional onboarding and training options, a powerful team, career coaching, and development opportunities, as well as health benefits.Flexible working hoursProfessional onboarding and training optionsPowerful team looking forward to working with youCareer coaching and development opportunitiesHealth benefitsIn this role, a typical day will look like:Drive technology development projects from concept to implementation, ensuring performance, timeline, and budget targets are metCarry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align technical goals with business priorities, implement effective design solutions, and support ongoing initiativesPerform daily engineering tasks including rapid prototyping, test development, experimental setup, testing, analysis, and documentation of results and conclusionsResearch and procure equipment to support development efforts and enhance team tools, workflows, and knowledge sharingThe essential requirements of the job include:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or other relevant engineering degree.5+ years of experience in product design and implementation, prototyping, and engineering analysis.Skilled in testing, validation, experimental design, and data analysis.Proficient in SolidWorks and familiar with manufacturing processes (3D printing, injection molding, CNC machining, etc.)It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:Working with UVC LEDs, optical sensors, or related optical hardwareCFD and thermal simulations for design validation and optimizationUsing scripting languages for numerical simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and database designTest automation and data acquisition systems, including scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)Electrical design, reading schematics, panel wiring, test tools (e.g., oscilloscopes) and hands-on assemblyUVC disinfection principles such as fluence rate, dose-response, and pathogen inactivationTrojan Technologies is proud to be part of the Water Quality segment of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a $5B global leader dedicated to ensuring access to clean water, safe food and medicine, and trusted essential goods.
