Our Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation team includes Contaminant Hydrogeologists, Risk Assessment specialists, Environmental Engineers and Scientists, and a host of other specialties that focus on the investigation, assessment, remediation and redevelopment of contaminated sites. We are making the world a cleaner place, one site at a time We are seeking Environmental Site Assessors to work with our Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation practice in our London, Waterloo, Hamilton, Mississauga, Markham, Thunder Bay or Ottawa offices.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a key practitioner working on contaminated sites in Ontario, you will provide technical and client management expertise on a variety of projects including the development and implementation of work programs and management of schedules, budgets, and client deliverables relating to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, remediation programs, and hydrogeological investigations.Work with junior, intermediate, and senior staff on environmental projects and guide project deliverablesManage environmental site assessment and remediation projects, from proposal development to project completionEnsure quality and health and safety requirements and procedures are identified and followed throughout a project\'s life cyclePrepare technical reports summarizing project work, findings, and recommendationsOther responsibilities include developing proposals; coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and internal project staff; and performing and overseeing project technical workDemonstrate sound application of established practices, standards, and guidelinesProvide staff mentorship and trainingApply technical and business knowledge and methods to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address current and potential project issuesTravel to project sites may be required and a valid G license and access to a vehicle is requiredYour Capabilities and CredentialsA strong aptitude for client managementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA strong affinity for teamwork, training, and mentoring junior staffAbility to work under little supervision and work well with others to achieve group successAbility to work on several projects or tasks during any given day consistentlyPromote a strong health and safety culture and actively participate in Stantec’s Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) ProgramEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of related contaminated site management experience with particular emphasis on industrial and brownfield propertiesP.Geo. or P.Eng. registration is an asset but not a requirement for this positionTypical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods.
