requires two full-time (2 x 1.0 FTE) palliative care physicians to provide clinical service along with our multidisciplinary team located in Surrey, B.C. This is an exciting opportunity, where you will work alongside other palliative care physicians and nurse practitioners, to provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in our Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) and consultation services to acute care and community-based patients.
Throughout the Fraser Health Authority we provide integrated, regional, comprehensive palliative care services in a number of settings including 30 Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) beds; consult services in 12 acute care sites as well as in the community and other settings; and support to 126 hospice beds. Additionally, we provide under-graduate and post-graduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) is the largest of three regional hospitals in Fraser Health’s integrated network of care, providing primary, secondary, and tertiary services, including: Oncology unit, intensive care unit, hemodialysis unit, vascular surgery, and thoracic surgery.
