JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Mathematics, the Game Engine Developer IV works with the team to provide a solid and versatile game development kit, used to deliver high quality, captivating and performing games. With a strong understanding of gameplay, he or she assists the game software developers and collaborates with creative and talented partners to develop new features.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as a key technical reference for the game development team and participates in technical discussions and decisions.
  • Participates in the development of new features and modules required for games and new concepts while assisting the Team Lead.
  • Programs, maintains, supports, integrates, documents and validates the game code using the game development platform while assisting the Team Lead.
  • Participates in and elaborates software design and project analysis.
  • Writes and maintains technical documentation, APIs for the game development kit and user-guide.
  • Researches technical issues and shares findings with the team.
  • Manages projects from ideation to completion.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by the manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College diploma (DEC) or bachelor's degree in computer science, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in programming, preferably in video game development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in C# and .Net 6.0+.
  • In-depth knowledge of the gaming industry and its key concepts.
  • Experience with the Visual Studio development environment.
  • Knowledge of GIT version control tool.
  • Ability to communicate in English highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to make key decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.

ASSETS:

  • Knowledge of C, C++ and Unity 3D.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team or independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
