Come and be a part of this success About Potash The Jansen project in Saskatchewan Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewans history Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles. Jansens construction will take place over several years with first production planned for mid-2027. Once fully ramped up Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP. BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning if required. Purpose Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent this role is responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of site-wide equipment with a strong emphasis on electrical engineering. You will lead efforts to maintain and optimize electrical systems and critical controls conduct root cause analyses and support compliance with BHPs risk frameworks. The role contributes to improving asset performance and reducing downtime through proactive reliability strategies. About the Role In this role you will : Own and manage critical control verifications and execution tasks in SAP Ensure alignment with BHPs Risk Management standards and critical control ownership Lead root cause analysis (RCA) workshops for chronic equipment failures Conduct monthly audits of physical assets and critical spares Maintain and improve preventative maintenance strategies using GE APM Drive continuous improvement aligned with the BHP Operating System Support lifecycle management of Fuels Lubes Air and Coolants Participate in BHP Field Leadership and risk-informed decision-making About You Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Eligible for registration with APEGS Experience in equipment reliability and risk management Skilled in RCA and RCM facilitation Strong understanding of condition monitoring and risk frameworks Application Deadline This posting will be active until 11 : 59pm CST on November 10 2025.
