Under the direct supervision of the Food Services Supervisor, performs dietary duties as assigned. Assignment of responsibilities may rotate within the schedule, determined by the Supervisor. Qualifications Minimum completion of Grade Ten Ontario Food Handler Training Certificate, current within the last 5 years is required Knowledge of HACCP is an asset One year experience working in a large quantity kitchen is an asset Knowledge of computer software, large quantity production equipment such as stoves, ovens, grills, mixers, blenders, peelers, vegetable chopper / dicer, meat slicer, mincer, microwave ovens, cash register Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Must be able to communicate effectively (tasks related to reading of work schedules, cleaning lists, and communicating with fellow employees) Salary Range $26.398 to 26.764 The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety and security of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise.
