We are committed to investing in your professional development in creating an environment where you can advance your career.ResponsibilitiesProvide individualized pharmacotherapy and counsel patients about their medication therapy.Collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to develop, implement and monitor therapeutic plans.Assist in the development of drug therapy guidelines for disease conditions.Prepare and submit for publication case studies and articles sharing new knowledge.Act as department resource person within your assigned area.Participate in medication use evaluations, quality improvement initiatives and clinical drug trials.Mentor and supervise pharmacy students, residents and new staff.Ensure prescriptions are validated and dispensed accurately; resolve medication safety concerns with the health care team; document professional practice activities proficiently.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceCurrent registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Completion of an accredited Hospital Pharmacy Residency Program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Skills and AbilitiesBroad knowledge of organization policies, evidence-based clinical pharmacy practice, medication use evaluation, research processes, and hospital drug distribution. Ability to apply clinical pharmacy knowledge with minimal supervision, communicate effectively, and establish working relationships with health practitioners, patients and families. Ability to organize and prioritize work and operate related equipment.
