We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PhD student to join our team as an Applied Science Intern. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, automated reasoning, or robotics.
About the RoleAs an Applied Science Intern, you will be responsible for designing and developing end-to-end systems that drive production-level projects supporting Amazon Science. You will work closely with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop end-to-end systems that drive production-level projects supporting Amazon Science.
- Collaborate with Amazon scientists and other science interns to develop solutions and deploy them into production.
- Work with diverse groups of people and cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems.
- Enrolled in a PhD program.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12-week internship maximum.
- Relocation to where the internship is based may be required.
- Experience programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, C, or C++.
- Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
- Academic program located in Canada.
